Our Teaching Team | Pastoral Interns

In addition to our 4 elders who teach and preach, we have a team of pastoral interns who are entrusted to share God's Word regularly from our pulpit. Our leadership firmly believes it is the responsibility of the local church to identify, encourage and disciple those who sense God calling them into ministry. Over the 30+ year history of our relatively small church, we have sent out more than 45+ folks who have become pastors, missionaries, church planters, etc. By God's grace, we have sent people around the world with the gospel because we are at heart a Great Commission church. The fields are white unto harvest but the workers are few. It is our joy to send individuals and whole families out into the mission field because we know it is what God has called us to do as a church. It has never been about us but always about Christ and His kingdom.

Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us.
— Titus 2:7-8

These men are currently serving in our Pastoral Intern Program and have been meeting weekly with our pastoral staff since January 2015. Each Monday evening, they gather to read great books, to learn how to prepare and deliver sermons and to discuss matters relevant to pastoral ministry. They each take turns preaching in our sanctuary on Wednesday nights.
