Church tonight 6:30p; house fogger for mold killer; new shoes; baby items; food; cleaning supplies; etc. - Posted 9/14/16 4:30pm

Here's the latest update from New Covenant Church in Denham Springs, LA. Below is important information you may find useful:

  1. IMPORTANT NEWS ABOUT CHURCH ACTIVITIES:  Join us for worship tonight at 6:30pm. Dr. Zachary will preach. There will be no activities for children tonight. Kiddos are welcome to join their parents in the sanctuary. We plan to resume normal Wednesday activities NEXT week 9/21/16. If you know your children will be attending next Wednesday, let Patricia know. If you are a Bible Blitz worker and will be able to resume your service on Wednesday evenings, please let Patricia know of your availability. Youth activities will resume on 9/21/16 as well but will be held upstairs. Youth should report to the sanctuary by 6:30pm and we'll all go upstairs to a large room where we will meet each week. Our youth room is being occupied by an international relief agency and will be for many weeks to come.
  2. Our disaster relief distribution center has now CLOSED to the general public as we transition to minister to specific unmet needs (by appointment only) and gear up for the rebuild phase of recovery. This means we will no longer keep regular open hours for the general public. Our New Covenant Church family will still have access to any supplies we have for as long as they are in stock. We still have lots of items - new children's shoes, baby items, food, etc. If you attend New Covenant Church, come at any time and get whatever you need. In the coming weeks and months as folks begin to rebuild their homes, we will focus on identifying and meeting unmet needs for furnishings, fixtures, linens, etc. When details for this process are finalized, we will make them public. This is when we will need individuals, churches and corporations pulling together with us to help furnish and stock homes that had no flood insurance coverage and have overwhelming needs. Many individuals from across America contributing in small ways can meet this huge need. It can be done and God's people can and should lead the way. Pray now about how you can partner with New Covenant Church and be involved in the long-term recovery effort.
  3.  We will be receiving a fogging machine that you can check out and use in your home if you have doors and windows that close. Shockwave can be used in it to create a fog that will reach into hard to reach areas. It should be here in a few days and I think it will be very helpful to many of you.
  4. We would like to know if you have a new mailing address and/or phone number as a result of being displaced by the flood. Please give this information to Patricia in the office.
  5. Let us know about specific prayer needs you have or about any specific and immediate physical needs you have that we may be able to meet. Feel free to email those to or text me (Todd Whirley) at 225-715-6149.
